Early Influences, Part 2: From Australia to the Canvas

Early Influences, Part 2: From Australia to the Canvas

These ancient, silent landscapes have always resonated with me. I've lived in these places, walked them, and now I find myself conceptually going in circles, returning to them in my work.

Whether it's the ancient stones of Ireland or looking down at the Wolf Creek Crater in Western Australia (which I flew over in 1999), the profound mystery of these sacred sites continues to drive my creative vision.

The visual echo of these massive natural and man-made craters directly translates into the swirling, dotted, and layered circular motifs in my paintings. It's a continuous loop connecting the ancient past, the Australian landscape, and the canvas.
